Thank you for supporting our Easter event today. We raised £251 which will help pay for our lovely new climbing frame!
The team with the most team points this term was Emerald. Well done to Emerald who will be rewarded with a fun time playing on the bouncy castle to be set up in our school hall next Tuesday.
We held our annual Speech Awards today. The standard was extremely high this year and our judges took a long time debating who should be our overall winner. Well done to all our pupils who took part:
Amy Sw Y2
Very well done to Rhys Tinnion who came first with a very interesting and well presented speech all about his hobby on cooking. Second place went to Keira Martin and third place went to Claudia Earl. Bridey Perryer and Archie Broughton were also highly commended.
Our netball team played extremely well against Sauncey Wood Primary today. They played with great determination and all their efforts paid off with a well deserved 8-1 win. Fantastic team work, well done!
It was lovely to see so many children attend the school disco last night. Everyone seemed to have a good time and there were some great hair do’s and funky shirts on display too! A big thank you to all the parents and staff for their help in ensuring the evening ran smoothly. A very special thank you to our DJ, Stephen Gooding, for providing such great entertainment for the children, and to Miss Robinson who ran the dance competition. The evening raised a fantastic £450 which will go towards new outdoor play and climbing equipment.
Going forward we are thinking about possibly splitting the disco into 2 separate sessions (KS1 and KS2) because of the higher pupil numbers in the school. We are also thinking of introducing some ‘healthier’ snack options e.g. raisins, grapes, etc. – possibly even hand out party bags / dinner boxes rather than selling items individually…
If you have any thoughts on this or any other way our discos could be improved please speak to Sue on the playground or email email@example.com
This afternoon our football team played a really exciting match against St Dominic Primary. They played really well as a team, and a special mention goes to our goalkeeper, Sergio Gonzalez-Rodriguez, who made some great saves! The final score was 1-1. Well done to everyone in the team!
