Thank you for all the cards and gifts given to the staff this week. We hope you all have a very happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.  We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday 6th January 2015 refreshed and ready for a new term.



Golden Broom

Pantomime for Key Stage 2

Year 3 to 6 had a fun time visiting St Albans theatre to see the pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ today.

There was much excitement as they left school to catch the train to St Albans in the morning.  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show.  Thank you to Mrs Davenport who organised the trip and thank you to the teachers and teaching assistants who chaperoned the children for the day.


Year 3 and 4 Christmas Carol Concert

Pupils in Year 3 and 4 gave a wonderful Christmas Concert on Wednesday evening.  All their rehearsing certainly paid off – they sang, danced and spoke beautifully!  Well done everyone.

Thank you to all the members of staff who helped the children put on such a lovely concert.


KS2 Disco

It was lovely to see so many children attend the school disco last Friday. Everyone seemed to have a great time.  A big thank you to all the parents and staff for their help in ensuring the evening ran smoothly. A very special thank you to our DJ, Christine Whyte, and our lead dancer, Cassie Martin, for providing such great entertainment for the children.  The evening raised £320 for the school.


Christmas Lunch

There was much merriment in our school hall today as the children enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch served up along with Christmas crackers!   Thank you to our kitchen staff; Mrs Bosher, Ms Shackell and Mrs Dada, for a delicious lunch and also to Mrs Shackell and her team of midday supervisors.


Christmas Jumper Day

It was lovely to see the children in their Christmas jumpers this morning for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.  It certainly got everyone feeling very festive as well as raising £171.50 for Save the Children.
