On Wednesday and Thursday Year 1 and 2 gave equally wonderful performances in their production of ‘Baubles’ by Antony Copus. Well done to all the children who have been rehearsing so hard to produce such a fantastic production. We certainly have some very talented pupils at our school!
Another thank you to all staff members involved in getting the children ready for their performance.
On Tuesday and Wednesday our Nursery and Reception children gave wonderful performances in their Nativity play “The Nativity” by Niki Davies. I am sure those parents and carers who came along to enjoy the production will agree that the children were all stars! They have certainly been working really hard to give such a fantastic performance. Well done to everyone.
A big thank you to all those members of staff who helped the children. Also thank you to Mrs Pemberthy’s mother who worked tirelessly making the costumes – they looked really lovely!
This morning, Year 1 took part in the Mini Sports Day held at Manland and run by some of the pupils from Sir John Lawes. The Year 1 classes from Manland and Sauncey Wood Primary schools took part along with our school. It was a really fun and energetic morning for everyone involved; the children were split into groups and worked their way through 6 different competitive races using different skills and equipment. Each of the schools won 2 races each so they were all equally matched! Our school also won the award for ‘best cheerers’ and for ‘best sportsmanship’ – well done Year 1, we are very proud of you! They all came back with a well deserved certificate each.
Thank you to our parent helpers who came along; Mrs Chapman, Ms Milioto and Mrs Morfitt, Also thanks to Miss Tyler, Mrs Kong and Mrs Pratt for organising our school’s participation.
