We would like to give Mrs Clark our very best wishes as she goes off on maternity leave today and we look forward to hearing about baby Clark in the New Year! We look forward to welcoming Miss Arnold in January who will be our Nursery teacher while Mrs Clark is on maternity leave.
Jonah, Tevez, Mujtaba from Year 3 recently ran a competition in school to draw or make a model of something related to Christmas. Children were asked to make a donation to enter and a fantastic total of £23.70 was raised for Save The Children.
The results were announced today – congratulations to Rhys Tinnion in Year 4 who came first, Tia Hastings in Year 5 who came second, and to Kristian Hristov in Year 3 who came third.
We’ve had a very busy half term and have raised a fantastic £3,065 for the school over the last 2 months! This money will go
towards building the path to the outdoor classroom and play area. We are also looking to buy comfy new chairs for the hall to replace the orange ones:-

Thank you to everyone who bought mistletoe – and a massive thank you to Helen Carter for providing the mistletoe to sell on behalf of the PTA.
We held the KS1 disco yesterday and a fun time was had by all – as well as raising £250 for the school. A big thank you to Helen Morfitt and Christine Whyte for taking charge of the dance floor; to Anna Chapman, Emma Burden and Judi Arichi for helping prepare the food; and to all the volunteers who helped at the event.
All our KS2 pupils enjoyed a Christmas treat at St Albans Arena today to see this year’s pantomime “Peter Pan”. I understand that everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show, including the teachers!
