Last Friday afternoon, Year 4 took part in the Forest School at the Highfield Oval. Forest Schools teach children about their outdoor environment by taking part in various activities in a woodland area. The children found out the age of some of the trees by using hand spans. They also did some sawing, played in a den and walked on a tightrope. They all behaved beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. Thank you to our parent helpers; Mrs Cherry, Mrs Morrow, Ms Smith and Mr Tinnion.
Shaun Herbaut, who runs the Forest School sessions, wrote to me to say how impressed he was with the children, both for their behaviour and enthusiasm.
