This term’s winning team was Topaz and they were treated to a morning’s trampolining in the school hall. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and said it was great fun.
The team with the most team points this term was Topaz.
Well done to team Topaz who will be given their reward next Tuesday!
As Year 3 were out last Friday morning at their swimming lesson, they ran their mile for Sport Relief this week instead. This means that the total miles run by the school was more than 180. Well done to everyone.
So far, the school has raised more than £550 for Sport Relief from mile run which is a fantastic amount. Well done everyone! If you are still collecting your sponsorship money, we would be grateful if you could bring it in by next Friday 1st April. Thank you.
Update 1/4/16: Well done to everyone who took part in this year’s Sport Relief event. The deadline for handing in sponsorship money was today and I can now tell you that we raised an amazing £1364.95 for this worthwhile cause! Well done everybody.
Thank you for supporting our Easter event yesterday – whether donating goods, setting up, manning stalls or simply just attending, it is much appreciated. We are still finalising the accounts, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and we had a really generous collection of cakes and Easter eggs – thank you.
Congratulations to Ben Burden on winning the fabulous Easter hamper!
This morning, 10 pupils from Year 4 attended the local primary schools Primary Language Fair at Roundwood Park School. They took part in a carousel of activities led by some of the pupils from Roundwood Park School, including a game of bingo in French, a treasure hunt in Spanish, using a language computer programme called ‘linguascope’ and a game of ‘put the flower on the rabbit’ in French.
Mrs Hills, who kindly accompanied the children, was incredibly impressed with how attentive and well behaved our pupils were. Well done, we’re very proud of you!
On Tuesday after school, our A team played an away match against Beech Hyde. They played a really well with great enthusiasm. The final result was 3-0 to The Lea. Well done boys!
Thank you as always to Miss Sykes and Mr Harris for accompanying the team.
