This morning, Key Stage 1 and 2 took part in a Hindu workshop that took place in the school hall. The workshop was run by Krishna from Avesha Presentations and two classes at a time were given a really interesting insight into the rituals of Hinduism. They were able to handle various artefacts such as diva lamps and the images held by the gods. They dressed up in saris and prayer shawls, and things became rather lively and colourful when they got to enjoy the Hindu music and dancing with sticks! It really was an enjoyable and educational morning for the children.
A huge thank you to Mrs Davis who organised the sessions.
