Years 2 and 3 visited Whipsnade Zoo today as part of the Science and Maths curriculum.
Year 2 enjoyed seeing lots of different animals as part of their Science topic on living things. They especially enjoyed the butterfly house, feeding time for some of the animals and seeing the baby elephant and 3 new baby crocodiles!
Year 3 spent time observing some of the animals, recording their movements at 5 minute intervals. They also carried out some co-ordinates work. They got a lot of exercise walking a long way in total throughout the day, following our very able
map reader, Harry! They enjoyed seeing the baby giraffe, baby elephant and the family of tigers and lions.
Thank you to our Year 2 parent helpers, Mrs Burden and Mr Pepperrell, and to our Year 3 parent helpers, Mrs Enstone and Mrs Wood.
