Football Tournament at Wood End Primary School – 2 wins

This afternoon our A team from Year 5 and 6 took part in the local schools football tournament held at Wood End Primary School. It was an enjoyable afternoon – our team were fantastic ambassadors for our school, playing with real enthusiasm and team spirit throughout.

They won their first game 1-0 against Manland, then played a thrilling match against St Dominic, winning 5-0. The third game was a tough game, and despite playing well, the final result was 3-0 to The Grove. The final match against Roundwood was very close which could have gone either way but Roundwood managed to edge ahead, winning 3-2. Well done to all who played, you should be very proud of yourselves.

Thank you to Miss Sykes and Mr Harris who attended with the children, and another thank you to Mr Harris who refereed a number of matches. It was lovely to see the parental support which always encourages the children to play even better!
