Mrs Shackell

July 21, 2017

After 30 years working at our school, we say a very fond farewell to Mrs Shackell, our senior lunchtime supervisor, who is retiring. I’m sure I speak on behalf of all the children and staff in saying how much we will miss her. We wish her a very happy retirement.

In honour of Mrs Shackell, we have introduced the ‘Shackell Shield’, a new trophy to be given to a deserving pupil at the end of each term. It is a friendship award given to someone who has stood out as always showing kindness and support to their fellow pupils, not only amongst their classmates but throughout the whole school.

Mrs Shackell presented the shield in our celebration assembly today to Asma Abubakar in Year 4. Well done Asma – you are a credit to our school.
